"Waiting on Some Beautiful Boy" is a 2-3 minute "moment", shot in black and white with no dialogue.
Rose, a young mother, has lost custody of her 4 year old son, Chase. Time spent with him is her only happiness until Ryan, his father, takes him away again. Those moments after Chase leaves is when Rose feels most alone.
Being a student film maker I am unfortunately unable to offer any of my actors payment. I can however offer a great experience, a completed film on DVD for your showreel.

Rose - (young mother)
Rose is a troubled young mother who has lost her child in a nasty custody battle. She only has hour long visits with her child, Chase until Ryan, the father takes him away. Rose has tendencies to slip in and out of depression, abuse drugs and quit things. Her only happiness is spending time with Chase and living with false hope that she and Ryan will get back together.

He worries about Chase's visitations with Rose. He wishes he could cut Rose out of his life and move towns with his son but is scared that Chase could grow up resenting him.

Chase
Chase is a young boy, 5-6 years old, who's parents have recently resolved a custody battle. His father, Ryan won full custody. His young troubled mother, Rose, only gets supervised visits every other week. Chase doesn't understand why his family isn't normal. He is embarrassed by the questions he is asked at school by his friends and teachers. He loves spending time with her mum but is becoming more and more reserved around her.
