Calling all budding Actors!
Paper Theatre is putting on a production of 'NINE' by Jane Shepard, a one act, all female two hander, in a non-theatre space in Twickenham in August 2012.
We are holding open auditions to find 2 Female Actors of any ethnicity and any age (acting age 18 yrs +) on either Saturday 14 July or Sunday 15 July in Twickenham, SW London. Venue Details tbc.
****Plse email to register interest and to guarantee info updates!
We are not looking for lots of acting experience. We want to meet anyone who wants to be involved in this exciting and challenging enterprise and who can commit to the project wholeheartedly. We are up against it time-wise so commitment, hard work and a willingness to get fully involved is a must.
Actors must be available for rehearsals in Twickenham on one evening a week and one day at the weekend during July and August and for a dress/tech rehearsal and two performances in August. This will be in the evening over a Thursday, Friday and Saturday and we are working towards the third weekend in August.
****Please note however that the production dates may slip back. Actors will need to be flexible around this and will need to be prepared for the production dates to move as far back as September. We can however, be accommodating to a point and don't want this to prevent anyone from auditioning. Plse message/email us to discuss the play/audition further.
We are intending to run this as a profit share so a small fee will be available depending on ticket sales. Sadly we cannot confirm this ahead of casting so please consider this before auditioning.
'NINE' by Jane Shepard
Powerful performances are featured in this tale of two women held against their will, and the mind games they play to keep one another alive. Locked in a room and chained apart, language is their only currency, and comes to mean everything when a single word becomes the hanging point between life and death. A harrowing, funny and tender account of the psychological price of survival.
