South Florida auditions will be held by appointment on July 2 & 3, 2012 6pm-9pm at the African Heritage Cultural Arts Center 6161 NW 22nd Avenue Miami, Florida 33142.
Seeking submissions from Female and Male Non-Equity Actors only for these auditions.

African American Performing Arts Community Theater (AAPACT) in association with the African Heritage Cultural Arts Center presents Dutchman written by Leroi Jones (Amiri Baraka).

The dramatic encounter between a middle class African American man and a bohemian white woman takes place as an absurdist ritual on the New York Subway.

Seeking the following for these auditions:
Character - Clay (1) One African American Male 20-30 age category;
Character - Lula (1) One White Female 20-30 age category
Ensemble - Subway Passengers 5 to 7 actors for the Ensemble (Non-speaking roles and various ethnicities and ages).

Auditions will consist of cold readings from the script. Inexperienced actors and those unfamiliar to the auditioning director must prepare a ONE Minute monologue. Headshot or recent photo and bio are required.
