Hi fellow musician friends,

I’m looking for a bassist, a drummer, a keyboardist & a singer, any gender, to join a guitarist in a rock covers band in Auckland with eyes on playing originals at some point later on, as we musically integrate with each other.

What I have in mind is to put together a performance of rock songs that would include instrumentals, so we could switch lead roles, & improvs, to explore musical creativity.

The idea is to stay true to the key parts of the original songs so people can recognize them, but exploiting their musical structure a bit to make the performance more interesting to listen, watch, and more fun to play.

As it would be nice to switch lead roles to make the band more dynamic, every musician should be able to enjoy taking it’s instrument and voice a bit further, basically we should be able to play instrumentals covers , solos, and to enjoy keeping up with a good jam.

Ideally for starting up, as soon as we get at least a basic trio (drums, bass, guitar), we should work to be able to perform for 1 hour and start giging asap.

Business-wise, it would be nice if you have any previous experience with booking gigs, band promotion, marketing, or practice any other art like photography or painting. As I’m going to integrate my visual communication skills later on, designing band promotional material, website, etc. However, the main focus and first objective should be to build a musically solid band and start giging.
