| About me: | | GEORGIA Horsley, 21 of Malton, North Yorkshire, won the prestigious title of Miss England on Saturday 30 June 2007 at a glittering event.
She is currently the face and voice of The Press, York’s local newspaper, who filmed Georgia to promote the city recently named the U.K’s most popular visitor destination via their DVD and website. During her year as Miss England Georgia is keen to help the deaf association and cancer charities. Georgia attended the Miss World finals in China, on the 1st November for a month in 2007.
Before winning the title of Miss England her aim was to pursue a career as a make-up artist having won a place at Manchester City College. Recognised as one of the finest courses in the country.

Hi there, my name is Georgia and I am a full time model and the ex-Miss England 2007.
As a model I have been involved in catwalks, magazine photo shoots, TV programmes and promotional events.
I have also taken part in the Miss World 2007 final in China. I am very interested in breaking into the world of TV presenting.

Television experience
My television experience is varied; I have appeared on the American TV station NBC on a TV show called ‘The Morning Show’ where I was interviewed. Channel Five and Calendar News have also interviewed me.
I took part in a TV programme called ‘See Hear’ which is aired on channel 3 and is aimed at partially deaf or completely deaf viewers.
I also appeared on a TV show called ‘Will Beauty Call’ where men battled to win three beauties phone numbers (me being one of the beauties!) and we filmed 9 episodes of this.
Most recently I appeared on the Richard Arnold show (ITV), where I was a guest on his show, reviewing a film.

Presenting experience
Throughout my year as Miss England I presented many live Miss England 2008 heats, and this year I presented the Miss England Final live on stage.
I have also presented a show on a small stage at the Clothes Show live at the NEC in Birmingham, and have co-hosted the Newcastle semi-finals of 'Live and Unsigned'.
I was lucky enough to write the script for and record my own Miss England 'Top tips help line'. I also took part in some location reporting in London with TTA Productions.

Magazine experience
I have taken part in numerous interviews for magazines and newspapers, appearing in newspapers such as: The Daily Star, The News of the World, the metro and the Daily Mail as well as local newspapers. I have modelled five times for a Yorkshire bridal magazine and appeared on the front cover twice. I have also appeared in Nuts Magazine, New Magazine, Take a Break, Hello, Ok and Spa World.
I am also writing my own column on current issues in a local magazine.
