More than 10,000 girls entered the Miss England 2011 competition, which was held at the Birmingham Metropole Hotel at the NEC for the second year running. The 58 girls from across the country who made it to the final night had already endured fierce competition in the heats and a semi-final stage to make it to the grand final.
StarNow members outstanding at the 14th Sydney Film School Film Festival

Twice yearly at the end of each semester and its production period, Sydney Film School organises the popular SFS Film Festival to celebrate the completion of the semester’s productions and the graduation of the 1-year Diploma students. The two days of student film screenings are a great opportunity for current and future filmmakers to come together. This July in its 14th edition, the SFS Film Festival took place on Wednesday, July 13th and Thursday, July 14th at the Factory Theatre in Sydney’s suburb of Marrickville. The festival presented 51 short dramas and documentaries produced last semester by SFS students.
At the awards night on the 14th we were very proud to announce the winners of the Outstanding Performance Award to two StarNow members, Quentin Yung and Jonny Hawkins for their performances in "The Trip", which was directed by Angelo Lara. Another StarNow member Madeleine Levins, also won on the night, receiving highly commended for her involvement in 3 films that were all screened at the festival. A massive achievement by her.

The competition allows these young women the chance to gain confidence and poise, whilst advancing personal skills and goals.

Planet 31 is an interactive, community-focused ‘Variety Show’ that showcases local non commercialised talent from industries of Film, Music, the Arts, Comedy and Food.
