Interview with Hannah Dawson
Hannah Dawson is a rising star from Sydney who is attending the Hollywood Immersive workshop with Lilly Dawson and Margie Haber. Hannah believes her biggest challenge is getting into the Television industry and promoting herself as an actor.
What inspired you to begin training in the acting industry?
Hannah Dawson: I've always had an interest in acting I think But what inspired my 10 year old self to start was the first time I watched Doctor Who and I just thought 'yes this is what I want to do!'.
How long have you wanted to act for?
Hannah Dawson: Since I was around 10 years old so about 5 years now!
What tips do you have for others wanting to get into the acting industry?
Hannah Dawson: Don't take it lightly it's a hard industry to get into but always remember to have fun because that's what its all about!
What do you enjoy most about acting?
Hannah Dawson: I just love performing and putting myself in other peoples shoes! Acting allows me to explore so many different characters!
Do you prefer performing on stage or in front of the camera?
Hannah Dawson: I enjoy both and don't have a preference! They are both so different and so fun!
What roles do you prefer to perform?
Hannah Dawson: I like roles that challenge me as an actor! I think it's important to be able to play all sorts of characters not only that but I think keeping to one sort of role would probably bore me.
What actress/actors do you prefer to watch?
Hannah Dawson: I love watching David Tennant I think he's a wonderful actor!
If you could act beside any actor or actress who would you choose?
Hannah Dawson: David Tennant.
What has been your biggest challenge in regards to acting?
Hannah Dawson: Getting into the Television industry and promoting myself.
What is a typical day like for you?
Hannah Dawson: I'm still at school so most of my days are spent studying, however I do have a lot of activities I do! Wednesday is the greatest time of the week I have acting classes and then straight to guitar lessons!
