TRUMPET, FLUGELHORN, VALVE TROMBONE, MELLOPHONE
I started playing the trumpet at the age of eight. After attending Austin Peay State University as a music major, I joined the U.S. Air Force Band and served in Texas, Florida, and Japan. Re-entering civilian life I toured with rock, blues, R&B, and show bands throughout the U.S. and the Carribean. Later I performed with a big band in Prescott, AZ.(playing in that band were drummer Mel Zelnick who had played in the Benny Goodman Orchestra and Joel DeBartolo who had played bass for Doc Severenson’s “Tonight Show Band”). More recently I have been living and working in Sacramento, CA performing with R&B, funk, and Latin bands. Currently I am performing with “Latin Touch” (my primary instrument in Latin Touch is the valve trombone also playing trumpet and mellophone) You can access our web site at “sacramentolatintouch.com”
