SYNOPSIS:
When six-year-old Ruby is innocently playing in her front yard, one day, the encounter of a little old man ignites a fascination in her. Mr Potters passes by her house with his walking stick and a small bundle of flowers every day. Ruby, who spends most of her time playing and gardening in her front yard, becomes quite fond of him. She has no idea where he goes every day but she is eager to make Mr Potters her new best friend. Their encounters become a daily ritual and one day Mr Potters brings Ruby a bundle of flowers just for her. Ruby is delighted and charmed by her friendship with him.
This precious friendship is impacted when Mr Potters doesn’t walk past one day. Ruby waits till dark but he doesn’t show. His absence leads from one day to the next and Ruby is left confused and upset.
When all hope seems lost, Ruby’s mother comes into the front yard one day to tell Ruby the news about Mr Potters. Together they collect a bundle of flowers from Ruby’s little garden and take them down the street to the graveyard. There the headstone for Mrs Potters is discovered by Ruby and she understands where Mr Potters has been going every day. Beside the headstone is a fresh mound of soil, where Mr Potters has been laid to rest. Ruby leaves her freshly picked bundle of flowers for him and is forced to say goodbye to a friend she will never forget.
Filming on 12th and 13th May 2012, but keep the 11th of May free as well. Filming will be done in the suburb of Leichhardt, Sydney on the 12th May, and 13th May.. Filming on the 13th May will also be filmed in the Woronora area, Sutherland Shire. Organize own transport please.
Will run all day both days, but specific details will be sent if you get the role.
This is unpaid. But catering will be provided, and a copy of the DVD for your showreel will also be provided.

Ruby
Ruby is a 6 years old girl. She has short, soft hair, which she wears half up, half down on the top of her head. Her cheeks are also glowing a ruby red colour contrasting greatly with her white, pale skin.
She loves to garden and play in the front yard of her house with her dolls and teddy bears.
She is extremely cheerful and always eager to become friends with anyone she meets.

Mr Potters
Mr Potter is an old man who walks with a walking stick. He walks really slowly and unevenly because of his old bones. He has silver grey hair, dark eyes and wears a kind smile. His clothes are simple but clean and neat and he wears his slippers even when walking down the street.
