In 2008, Ashley received a Scholarship for the three year full-time National diploma in Musical Theatre at WAC Performing Arts and Media College. Ashley gained good basic dance skills in ballet, jazz and contemporary styles, conveying great personality in her dance and physicality on stage. As an actress she has enjoyed both the strength of characters such as the Mother in Blood Wedding, but also the subtlety necessary to perform the role of Rama in the Ramayana. She is looking forward to using both her previous experiences in radio presenting as well as newly gained skills in front of the camera to pursue opportunities both as a presenter and an actress. She has an exceptionally strong & dynamic mezzo-soprano voice, with a natural belt, which suits a variety of styles such as Pop, Jazz, Musical Theatre, Soul & Funk. Her immediate plans are to seek representation and to continue networking and auditioning.

Ashley Smith recently graduated from a National Diploma in Musical Theatre. To support her studies she set up a weekly Open Mic night called Social Sundays, at Inspiral Lounge in Camden. In this role she became adept at networking with artists, using a P.A system, hosting and, most importantly, developing dynamic performance techniques. She regularly performs cover songs across a wide range of genres such as Jazz, Soul, Pop and Reggae and has been honing her improvisation skills by regularly joining in the jam sessions with the exciting array of invited artistes on her bill! She also regularly entertains the Lounge with her comic-interactive stories. Ashley's immediate plans include setting up a band and continuing to network within the industry by attending auditions and showcases.
