My background is in education, teacher, lecturer, educational administrator. I believe that all good teachers are constantly performing. Apart from that I have had little other experience. I have been involved in some promotional videos, one was with the Queensland Cancer Fund (now called Council), as a "Fresh Start" presenter, (all of my class members were paid actors). Another was a promotional video for the Logan Hospital and Logan Division of General Practice Cardiac Rehabilitation Program, as an Exercise Physiologist working on an exercise program with a patient.

Photography has always been my passion. People and portraiture is my preferred genre and technique. My full-time employment has been in the field of education and now being in semi-retirement I can spend more time on photography. I purchased my first SLR camera in 1976, but before that was using a Rolleicord twin reflex camera. Photography has been an interest of mine for over fifty years.

In the days of film cameras, I used to develop my own film and print and enlarge my own black and white prints. I still have my film cameras, but primarily use DSLR cameras. I enjoy using software programs to digitally enhance photos, making good photos even better.

Digital cameras include a Nikon D800, two Nikon D7000 cameras, a Nikon D70s converted to shoot in the near infra-red range and several Nikon film cameras. Panasonic Lumix camera, Nikon compact G3 and a Go-Pro hero camera complement my range. Several quality lenses, portable studio lights and backdrops, reflectors, umbrellas, speed-lights and filters allow me to shoot almost anywhere.

My video cameras include a Panasonic Digital Video Camera Recorder Model AG - DVX100A equipped with Leica Dicomar Lens. Attachments include an external Rode VideoMic Pro, with a Furry Windshield which can be attached to minimise wind noise. The external microphone can of course also be used with my DSLR cameras.

I am a Premium photographer with Image Brief.

I have a current Queensland Working with Children Blue Card.
