Influences: Elton John, Chris Rea, Sting, Leonard Cohen, Bruce Springsteen, Frank Sinatra
I was born in 1981 in Hradec Kralove, Czech Republic. My childhood memories are tied with the city of Brno, where I attended a primary school for blind children. My musical education started at the age of eight in primary school of art, where I concentrated on piano and singing. In 1998 my family and me moved to Prague, where I got accepted to Prague Conservatory. My core subjects were pop music and piano playing. I graduated in June 2011 as the first blind student in the 200-year old history of the school.
I have been playing for audience for many years. My experience range from performances in fine Prague hotels and restaurants, such as Hilton Hotel, Corinthia Prague, famous Mlynec Restaurant and Aria hotel, in Auberge de Provence Prague Restaurant.
I also perform at private parties, musical festivals and corporate events. I regularly play concerts in Czech Spa towns - Carlsbad, Franzbad Jachymov Spa and Bohdanec Spa.
I am able to present myself in fine English and usually get a very warm feedback from the audience. Singing and playing piano together is my advantage. My performance brings two well-blending instruments to the audience, my voice and piano. I make people sit, enjoy the music and think about the life.
My repertoire ranges from the songs of Louis Armstrong, Frank Sinatra, Roy Orbison, Elvis Presley, Simon and Garfunkel, songs by Johnny Cash, Kris Kristofferson, Don Williams, Dean Martin, Bruce Springsteen. Furthermore Stevie Wonder, The Beatles, ABBA... Chris Rea, Phil Collins, Sting, Elton John, Leonard Cohen and many others. Naturally my music includes many songs of Czech singers as well.
I am often used to a piano mode only, where apart of pop tunes my repertoire includes jazz as well.
Czech Television made a documentary about me in April 2014. I often play with my fellow musician, who accompanies me on drums.
Several years ago I recorded my own CD called "Nektery lidi" - "Some people" in Czech with help of the Czech songwriter Tomas Kympl.
The concerts present me as a versatile musician with a broad musical background. As well as the enthusiastic sportsman and traveller, as a young man able to live life to the fullest and be creative in spite of my handicap - something I have to overcome since birth.
My practical assistance - someone who shows me the venue, helps with technical requirements - is always taken care of.
I have been searching for new jobs opportunites. I would be very grateful to you if I could perform at your venue.
