I'm a new book on the shelf: 59 years old: gentle, intelligent and bookish; fascinated by the romantic era of Shelley and Lamb. I take Acting lessons with Stirling Academy, Bolton. I drive, cycle, horse ride, swim, knit, recite Quranic Arabic with tajweed (Hifs an Asim). I Proofread, and, beyond Covid restrictions, am a volunteer Reader for an Association for the Blind talking newspaper. I satisfy my competitive urge at Scrabble Championships; I get an adrenaline rush from mental focus, time pressures, and pitting my wits against other Scrabble "Nerds". Being brought up in a rugged North Yorkshire Moors cottage bereft of running water and utilities, I wield a woodman's axe and kindle a good blaze. From travel in Asia, I like Tai Chi, saris, and Bedouin food-culture dos & don'ts are at my finger-licking finger tips. I'm on Instagram: inky_fingers_

I currently take Acting Lessons at Stirling Academy, Bolton. I attended a (non-acting) school that prioritised performing arts, staged at Middlesbrough's Little Theatre. Sensitive, versatile, with a good memory for lines, I was cast in several leading roles. Newly retired from Teaching, I have returned to acting with rich life experiences and maturity.
