Since I started dancing back in 2008 I have grown in confidence and my posture and shape have improved in many ways. My experience dancing on stage has made me grow. Over the years I have performed with my stage school in front of hundreds of people either in my local group or on a big stage with other dance groups. Dancing can be really enjoyable it lets you express many different feelings.
I take part in freestyle, tap, cheerleading and ballet and can truly say that I love all of them. In ballet over the past few months I have moved onto pointes which I'm improving really well.
I recently performed in August this year on the Thomson Dream cruise ship along with 7 other dancers. I performed at 8.30 and 10.30 for 3 nights of the 7 night cruise. During the time onboard I attended rehearsals and met members of the crew that were performing/entertaining.
I had the chance to ask them many questions about their life onboard. It was a fantastic experience and gave me an insight into the life of a performer.
Also this year I have danced at The Sunderland Empire as part of the Bobby Dazzlers and just the weekend of 13th November 2015 I danced at Saddlers Wells as part of Mardi Gras dance.
I have danced many times in a theatre on stage and really love the energy that's out on stage amongst everyone.
Our dance school have just completed a 2 day dance show at the Sunderland Empire on 21st and 22nd July which was amazing. We also done an audition video which is to be sent off to Disney so hopefully I will get the chance to dance in Disneyland Paris in 2017.
I certainly hope I get the opportunity as I thoroughly loved the experience of dancing on the cruise back in Summer 2015, an experience I will never forget. It's great being part of a team where everybody is like family we all get along so well and work brilliant together.
I'm looking forward to the upcoming months where I will be auditioning for Bugsy Malone aswell as panto.
2018 started with many rehearsals for our performance at The Royal Albert Hall in May with Mardi Gras “Dancing in the Round”. Yet again another amazing performance enjoyed by all involved and what a buzz and adrenaline rush we all had.
Further shows this year will be Sunderland Empire followed by another audition to take part in Disneyland Paris which will take place in 2019.
