Doc started acting in youth theatre in South Australia in a company put together by the late Morna Jones.
He appeared in children's plays including Hunder The Giant where he played an 8' ogre despite being only 4' tall at the time.
Doc also appeared on the popular children's TV show - The Channel Niners along with a very young Humphrey B Bear.
The teenaged Doc combined his acting skills with an interest in ocean endeavours when he landed a job at Marineland in South Australia helping out with the dolphin and seal shows and feeding the sharks and fish in the viewing tank.
Doc took a many year break from acting to concentrate on music.
In 2014 he combined acting with music to write, produce and star in That's Showbiz - a musical theatre piece performed at The Wonderland Spiegeltent and a 14 date season at the 2015 Adelaide and Sydney Fringe Festivals.
Clothesline Magazine called That's Showbiz - "A brilliant way to spend an hour"
His second play Deluxe Old Time Radio Hour ran at Melbourne and Perth Fringe Festivals in 2018 and 2019.
Doc completed the Advanced Acting Course at The National Theatre in St Kilda, Victoria.
