All my life, I have been passionate about acting.

I joined my local ‘Stage Coach’ at a young age to sing, dance and act. I went every Sunday and I loved it. I wasn’t keen on the dancing, since I’m not the best, but I gave it my all anyway! My favourites were acting and singing. We would put shows on at the theatre and also at the school where the lessons took place, but it had a big hall and we would make a stage and put chairs out for family and friends to watch our play.

I started joining local acting clubs, but I wanted to take acting a lot more seriously than what they did, because even though it was my hobby I wanted it to be my future as well. So, I quit Stage Coach and joined Sylvia Young theatre school in London, and I was so dedicated to it. I got the train to Liverpool Street and then the tube to Marble Arch every Saturday with my mum, it took us about 3 hours to get there to have singing and acting lessons, then go home. Also, in the summer holidays I took part in a play and we rehearsed it every day and performed it at the end to family and friends on the Sylvia Young campus. After a year of going every single Saturday, I sadly had to stop because I needed to focus on my school work as I struggled in school.

I still wanted to keep up my acting though, so in the holidays we looked online and the theatre were advertising for parts to play as a munchkin in the Wizard Of Oz. I auditioned for it and I got in! We then rehearsed the dance moves every other day until the show, and I was so happy to perform alongside Dani Harmer (Tracy Beaker).

At high school, I then got to have acting lessons every week and I then took it for GCSE. I absolutely loved it. I also took part in the choir at school and took part in the plays they would have every term.

Once GCSE finished, I had to decide what course I wanted to do at college or stay for A-Level drama. It turned out not many people stayed for A-Level drama, so it was no longer an option anymore as there wasn’t enough of us. It turns out I actually took media hair and make-up level 2 because I wanted to understand what went on ‘behind the scenes’ and how to create masks etc.

So, I thought I would study a year of that and go onto the acting course the year after, which I did. I went straight onto Performing Arts Level 3 the year after and studied that. I had acting lessons all week and once a week I had a singing lesson. I got given solos in plays and I was in my element.

When I left college I applied for a paid acting job as a scare actor at the Dinosaur Park in Norwich, I signed up to do every night throughout the whole of October. I went to the audition and got the part. I loved this experience and drove an hour and a half every night throughout October to do this. I was 100% fully committed like I would be to any acting job I have.

I attend the Youth Theatre every Wednesday night at the Apex Theatre in Bury St Edmunds. We have just finished doing a tour of our play ‘Murder At’. I played a girl called Ophelia Bab, who was a spoilt teenager who never got any acting parts and always played the understudy. I loved playing this role and creating a character for Ophelia.

I also volunteer at the Royal Theatre just being an usher, but I enjoy being in the theatre and love all the experience.
