My name is Grégoire Pearce, a film composer, performer, and educator in Portland, Maine. My music is the sum of my exposure to 19th & 20th century South American and Western European classical, jazz, rhythm and blues, flamenco, and the various peculiar incarnations of electric music. The music of composers like Bernard Hermann, John Coltrane, John Powell, Diego del Gastor, Massive Attack, Leo Brouwer, Galactic, John Williams, Soundgarden, Led Zeppelin, Paco de Lucia, Steve Vai, Eric Satie, Eduardo Sainz de la Maza, Fishbone, S.L. Weiss, The Police, and Frank Zappa [to name a few] collectively influence how I think about my own music. It is of the most sincere importance to me to treat every film production with artistic integrity and to compose music that is unconditionally unique. I am available for pre-production, spotting sessions, thematic development, harmonization and orchestration of existing melodies, scoring to picture, orchestral mockups, and delivery of final stems.
