I won the BEST ACTOR award in the Sydney Crash Test Drama competitions in August and October 2014 and was consequently cast to play lead roles in two 2015 'Short & Sweet' plays. I've performed multiple lead comic roles for a series of internet advertisements and TV advertisements and have acted in over twenty films (drama and comedy) since launching my acting career in 2014.
Recent film roles include an evil pirate (antagonist), a man with Parkinson's Disease (lead), an Australian explorer (support), an English upper class twit (support) a slimy villain (antagonist), a grieving father from Tennessee (bit part), a cracked business owner (lead) and a desk sergeant (bit part) for Kriv Stenders' remake of the Australian classic 'Wake in Fright'.
Prior to 2014 most of my acting experience has been historical dramas and live (immersive) comedy for educational and corporate team building events - which was a sideline to my work as a tall ship captain. I have written, produced, directed and performed in most of these productions.
Early film & TV highlights include the role of Captain Thomas Gilbert in the historical TV drama 'The Incredible Journey of Mary Bryant' (alongside Sam Neill and Alex O'Laughlin), writing and performing music for the BBC series 'Voyages of Discovery' and the lead role in a Channel 9 children's comedy, 'The Shak' (which I co-wrote).
In recent years I decided to pursue acting more seriously and studied at the Actors Centre Australia (ACA) under the inspired tutelage of Sam Haft, Dean Carey and Ted Brunetti (2010-2015). I am now pursuing an acting career while working part time as a tall ship captain.
