Douglas Phillips- Lead

Struggling magician Douglas feels underappreciated and invisible within his family, second best to his identical twin Jackson. He has spent the last few years looking after his sick mother while Jack has been pursuing his political career. Prone to following his heart rather than his head, Doug is very different to his twin. After trying to make amends things go very wrong and Doug takes the stage on the night of Jack's political debut, intent on sabotage. Actor(s) must be a twin or play both.

Pompous, self-centered, egocentric and charming, Jackson has all the qualities required to make it in the world of politics. The golden child of their wealthy parents, Jack made his way up the ranks of politics at an unprecedented rate. Throughout his political career Jack has overcome bias’ because of his younger age, and expectations placed on him. Now, right before the biggest moment of his life, Jack is visited by his annoying brother Doug. Actor(s) must be a twin or play both.

George is your typical obnoxious, smug politician who strives for nothing except victory. Driven by his thirst for power, George is at the final hurdle of his political campaign to be Prime Minister and plans to woo the audience with his strategically crafted responses. However, despite his precision practice for this debate, he is still caught off guard by his opponent’s strange behaviour.

Lee is the political commentator moderating the live debate. An experienced, professional woman in this world of journalism, Lee isn’t afraid of putting politician’s in their place and getting to the facts. She strives to keep up the professional appearance, especially as the debate goes south. However, as Doug’s attempts to sabotage Jack increase and the debate is left in shambles, Lee leaves the stage, tired of the unprofessionalism.

After a hard week at work, Ted enjoys nothing more than going to the Pub with his mates and enjoying a nice cold pint. Ted is not particularly fond of politics, and isn’t too pleased at the live debate playing at the pub.

Lou- Bit Part

Lou is a quintessential pub-loving man; nothing can stop him from enjoying his drinks as he minds his own business. Little is known of his personal life, all that is known is what he does in the pub. Lou is a bit of an enigma amongst even the regulars prefers the solitude of his own thoughts. However, the chaotic entertainment of the televised debate catches Lou’s attention.
