A short film in which a young musician is preparing for his first breakthrough show, and learns of a shocking family secret. Will be 5-7 mins long, and shot over three consecutive dates: the 24th-26th September.

Audition / Rehearsal / Production dates

Auditions will be held at RMIT University City Campus on the 13th of September. More specific details will follow.

Emile Hebden

Emile Hebden is a young electronic musician who has just made his breakthrough, and is about to embark on a headline tour of Australia, including a show at The Forum. He is driven, smart, stubborn and sometimes sulky. The crux of his character is learning that his dying father, with whom he has had a strained relationship, is not his biological father. Information that he feels has been wrongfully kept from him. He is close with his sister Heather, who is a supporting character.

Male, aged 22 to 32

Heather Hebden

Heather Hebden is the main character, Emile's sister. The two are very close. Heather is smart, kind, caring, logical and doesn't put up with nonsense.

Female, aged 25 to 35

Leonard Hebden

Leonard Hebden is terminally ill in hospital. He has a strained relationship with his son Emile, and their scene together is the emotional crux of the film.
