Producer for King Lear Screen Adaptation
Audition / Rehearsal / Production dates
TBAJob payment
This job is unpaid - Option agreement for rights with screenwriter / playwright
Expenses paid - Option agreement
UPDATE: Hi there,
I am not able to change my original listing. Where things stand at the moment is that there has been producer interest but not dedicated producer / producers on board as yet. As you would understand, as a screenwriter I can fight for an individual director but it is the producer's ultimate decision. The other issue I see is that this project is not a low or microbudget feature film production so you have to ask yourself whether you have the credibility and experience needed to produce or co-produce this work. It is likely to need more than one producer on board. Hope this helps. Adrian (screenwriter, The Cattle King). It has a dedicated fb page if you wish to find it.

NB: Really important clarification. This is not a paid position but unfortunately, the unpaid position specifies a low or microbudget production whereby the cast or crew are getting deferred payments. It plainly doesn't fit that category either. Given the choices, I left it as paid with what I hoped was a sufficient explanation. What is most needed is an overarching producer willing to option the script and bring on board investors. I apologise for any confusion. It has been an experiment putting it on StarNow and it has been partly successful but as yet no dedicated producer.
