After living with his aunt in a area in Brixton called Angell town he made friends. They grew in a time of poverty and less opportunity. So the group of boys would do anything as a collective not a gang. They would Robb the taxi drivers filling petrol, Robb the petrol station, Handbags, Burglaries etc.
Throughout his journey he decided drug dealing was less suspicious. So he strived doing this with friends for a few years. There were times he had to watch his friends die or get hurt and had to take it as part of the lifestyle.
After growing out of his young friends he started helping a Jamaican man (Short man) to sell drugs with him equal partners as the man was well disciplined in business as he knew real suffering coming from Kingston Jamaica and having a don called willy Haggard. (Short man) had to return to Jamaica then found his way back through Holland with the help of (Marcus). Marcus was trying to make enough money to quit the game and could not get the right mind frame to do so or the right encouragement. It took for short man to die by the hands of the man (Marcus) left him alone with for 20mins after telling (short man) this is not a game. (Marcus) stayed out of the area but nearby. Not sure how to re integrate with his people as most of the opposition had reached there doom either prison or death.
Then an old time friend from the area (Marcus) came from heard about the filming he was doing all around London but not in his own hood. And had some work for Marcus but in the hood and others with young people who were just like (Marcus) Just a little younger. Then he took (Marcus) to a studio that all the poverty driven children from the area used to stay out of trouble. And (Marcus) met (Asher) He did not let out the state his mind was in but started doing any filming jobs (Asher) had going. And after 2yrs he stopped wearing his bullet proof vest and left his knife at home this was his secondary choice of weapon as he could not walk with a gun every day and around young people. Eventually Marcus got confident enough to be out in his streets as a older. And that’s when he started growing into a man late in his life because of the hold the negative behaviour had put him in and also people around him. But a new mind-set that was placed in Marcus and the business skills gained allowed Marcus to push on and hold down a job and went on to work with production teams who filmed Dispatches, Panorama and edited a few scenes of police camera action. This allowed Marcus to grow further and flew the code 7 nest.
The film is based over a 10 year space and is all based on true facts and events Letting those that are not grown in these urban areas what really happens.
