The resource will provide immersive work experience to young people in urban, rural and remote areas, in the area of Aged-care and disability services.
The creative team consists of Melbourne-based VR producer Jess O'Farrell and NT-based writer/Director Tamara Whyte.
The resource will allow users to transport themselves to different scenes, showing support workers providing friendship & support to their clients.
One of the scenes we are casting will take place on a fishing jetty, where a support worker RYAN will be assisting his client JAMES on a day out fishing. The scene is laid back, and there is fun banter between Ryan & James. The scene will also include a fishing game to be played by the user.
The role of JAMES is a young person with a disability who is spending a day with his support worker at a local fishing hole.
The person cast will be required on set for 2 x full days and 2 x rehearsal days
We are casting an actor WITH a physical disability for this role, so please only apply if you are an appropriate candidate. We plan on tweaking the script to match the actor that we cast for this role, so let us know how your ability is different so we can understand how to adapt the character, and how to support you on set.
