Mandarin Speaking Male (25-35) for GFS Grad Slate Thriller Short Film

Queensland, Australia

Life imitates art, literally, when Lucky; a film translator, starts work on an Australian soap opera; “Heartbreak Hill”. Lucky's relationship with her boss (BOBBY) sours and her life quickly progresses into a downward spiral. Paranoia and fear take hold as the events from the show start to bleed into real life.

Despite his aura of smugness, Bobby will most likely be ID checked at every bar from now til the end of time. His non-threatening appearance often takes a lot of 'overcompensation' in order to be taken seriously. Bobby eventually pushes things to dangerous levels to prove this point when violently attacking Lucky, his employee.

We are in our final year of Film and Screen Media at Griffith in Southbank. We are passionate about working with other passionate creatives and want to welcome actors of all levels of experience to come forward.
