Australian Actor Required for a Student Radio Play

Listed by View details

This is the pilot of a thriller about a man, Felix(25), who experiences sleep paralysis which is related to his past trauma this paralysis manifests as a demon, which is discovered to be a real demon. This demon is genderless, and will shift genders, so we may decide to use both a male and a female actor for this role.

His girlfriend Sarah(25) is getting ready to move out with him, while supporting him with his trauma. A Therapist(40's) offers support and guidance while Felix experiences sleep paralysis.

To apply for roles other than the demon, view the other listing I have made.

This project was originally intended to be a pilot of a web-series, but is being altered towards a radio play because of the pandemic.

It would be great if actors have their own recording tech to record lines at home so we can follow COVID safety protocol.

This is a student university production.

Audition / Rehearsal / Production dates

As the script is being rewritten, and we will allow time for re-shooting, production will span from the 27th of July to the 21st of August

Job payment

Unpaid – this is a collaboration opportunity - Student Podcast Pilot/Radio Play

Collaborations should create mutual benefit and are usually amateur, student or 'Time for Print' projects.

Sleep Paralysis Demon

The demon character is sarcastic and witty. It becomes corporeal and uses this to eventually help the protagonist deal with his trauma. There is no gender for this demon, and so we may cast a female and male actor for the role as the character changes its identity.

Anyone, aged 20 to 40
