Known as one of Andersen's best loved fairytales, The Snow Queen charts one girl's epic journey to save her missing friend trapped in a never-ending winter. In this new stage adaptation, we are bringing together contemporary ballet with spoken word and an original score to tell a story that is dynamic and exciting; at times very powerful, at times heartwarming; and ultimately very beautiful.
The production is planned to tour outdoor spaces in the South East from December 2020.
We are seeking for a choreographer who is extremely collaborative and who is experienced in creating work with a strong narrative drive. You must be comfortable choreographing for a small cast of four dancers, and for non-traditional performance spaces (including working on grass and concrete). As we are a Sussex-based company, we are seeking a choreographer who is based in the South East.
The show is being produced in a COVID-secure manner and you must be willing to consult on, and adhere to, our COVID-19 risk assessment.
We are guaranteeing a minimum flat fee of £1,200 but aim to pay an Equity rates to all of our company, conditional on the full tour going ahead (given uncertainties around COVID-19). We are particularly enthusiastic to hear from applicants who could also perform in our cast for an additional wage.
If you are interested in the role then please apply by by 10am, Monday 21st September 2020. Interviews over Zoom will be held on 23rd and 24th September.
Fixed price of £1200
