Actors Required for Role in Student Film

Our story, After Hours, is about a school janitor who returns to work for the first time since finding the body of a female student who took their own life. He starts to experience unnatural activity within the school, becoming increasingly paranoid that someone may be trying to mess with him. However, the situation he finds himself in is far more dangerous than a simple school prank…

We believe this is a story of importance as it explores the consequences of immoral behaviour, and has a strong theme of guilt and responsibility which becomes clear throughout the film. This is a film we’re extremely passionate about making as we’re huge fans of the horror genre, and we believe that we can make a high quality film despite the Covid-19 restrictions that are currently in place.

The film will be low budget, so we won’t be able to pay our actors a huge amount - but we can offer £25 expenses as thanks for your time. If the budget becomes bigger than expected, we will happily increase the amount paid to our lead actor. We will also cover all transportation and provide food for our talent.

Well-made horror films have always had huge success in film competitions, and there is a large amount of horror-only competitions that the film would be applicable for entry in to. Therefore, we feel like now is a better time than ever to create this film as it’s more likely to have a successful competition run.

Our crew is extremely dedicated to making a successful film, and we feel like this would be a great opportunity for an actor to gain experience working as a unique character. We will happily send the script to any interested parties, and the actor will have a chance to have their own creative input for their role!
