The short is being made by film students from Bond University who all have practical experience on film sets. We are happy to let you use clips for your demo reel.
The film is set at night time (Christmas Eve) in Australia. Depending upon our filming location, we may decide to film during the day and just block out the sun. Our Director has a blue card and is legally certified to work with children. Our other crew members also have experience with children and strive to make it a fun and safe environment for everyone.
The film tells the story of a little girl who is woken up on Christmas Eve from sounds coming from the living room. She comes out excitedly, hoping to see Santa Claus. However, instead of St Nicholas himself, she sees a stubbly man wearing all black who is stuffing expensive household items into a large sack...
The man in black introduces himself as 'The Anti-Santa'. Unlike Santa Claus, who brings people new items each year, it is apparently his responsibility to go into people’s houses and take stuff that they do not need anymore.
After convincing the Anti-Santa to let her be his ‘helper’, Sophie must efficiently help him collect the most precious items in the house before the night ends. However, they must not wake up her father (a police officer), because otherwise, according to the man in black, "Santa won’t be happy".
Please note: the question down below is just something to help us get to know you better. You don't have to like or celebrate Christmas in real life to get the part, even though the character does.

Sophie is a happy young girl who loves Christmas. She always sees the good in other people, even when they can't see it in themselves. She has a younger brother, Timmy (5yrs old). She likes to playfully tease him sometimes, but she is still a loving sister. Even though the girl in our drawing is blonde, this was only for a temporary poster. We are accepting applications from anyone, no matter their hair colour.
