InsideOutside Theatre Company is going into 2021 with a bang, and we're looking for talented actors to bring our latest murder mystery to life.
Performances will be from the early March-May period. Payment is on a profit share basis, and will be a roaming production throughout the Brisbane area and surrounds.
Successful applicants will be notified of audition times, venue and requirements.
Audition / Rehearsal / Production dates
Auditions will be held on the 9th of January with rehearsals commencing January 16th. Performance dates will begin early March until May.Job payment
Unpaid – this is a collaboration opportunity - Profit share agreement.
Collaborations should create mutual benefit and are usually amateur, student or 'Time for Print' projects.
UPDATE: Successful applications will be paid under a profit share arrangement, a minimum arrangement will be put in place.

Veronica Rogers
A California girl born and raised; Veronica is a gifted singer who far exceeds her surroundings. Married to Albert, though it is far from a happy marriage. Singing role, Jazz and soul singing style ideal but not mandatory

Albert Rogers
Comes from an upper-class family, though he is viewed as the black sheep of the family. An entitled, rude and aggressive man, he has very little patience for anything not centred around himself, in particular forcefully naming himself as Veronica's exclusive manager.

Leonard Faraveli
An Italian Immigrant, Leonard is a skilled yet meek piano player and close friend of Veronica. Often bullied by Albert. Generally pushed around by people in his life with the exception of Veronica, and rarely stands up for himself. Piano playing not essential, but ability to convincingly mime an advantage

Robert Avery
A film critic from Hollywood, Robert is the textbook definition of a repugnant pig. Constantly cheating on his wife, sexist, manipulative, condescending and thoroughly unlikeable. Is not afraid to manipulate to get his way. A coward who hides behind his knowledge of the Hollywood Babylon.

Richie Ainsley
A grizzled and experienced business owner and Korean War veteran. Cares little for anything actually going on around him aside from keeping his business afloat. Kind to Veronica, but has little patience for anyone else, especially Albert. Extremely short tempered, and more than capable of holding his own in a fight.

Jessica Leanne Coburn
Very naive, often manifesting in bluntness. Tries to be nice but often accidentally ends up insulting people. unrequited object of Albert's eye, who sees her more as a conquest than anything else. Sweet, but ultimately flawed.

Rita Martense
Albert's ex wife. A former aspiring musician, who suffered a nervous breakdown and brief admission to an institution after being severely beaten down by Albert.

Howard Bradley
A larger than life MC who guides the audience through the show. A very bright and smiling man who nonetheless drinks heavily. Improvisation a must.
