Note: Improvisation experience is absolutely essential. The role is not fully scripted and will require significant role-playing skills.
The selected actor will need to spend time familiarising themselves with the character and the condition (based on guidance from us) and there will be a number of briefing calls/rehearsals prior to filming.
The successful applicant will need to sign a release form as is common practice.
Situation: Consultation with specialist eye doctor
In this scene, Catherine has returned to the hospital for an appointment with a new specialist doctor. She is frustrated with the lack of progress so far and does not believe that this appointment will solve her problems. Catherine has become increasingly isolated and depressed; she is angry that none of the doctors have been able to adequately treat her dry eye disease.
Audition / Rehearsal / Production datesDue to coronavirus restrictions, filming will be conducted via video conference technology which we will set up and explain. We will provide a narrative on which to base the role-play. Memorising lines is not required, however, it is important all the key points are highlighted in the video. We will provide briefing and direction on this.
Overall, we estimate that the time involved for the shoot will take a maximum of 6 hours. Payment covers all prep, briefing and liaison, and the filming.
