JAM depicts Mary, a 1950s obsessed single mother who we follow as she prepares her daughter for a patriarchal world through some unpalatable parenting techniques. When an unwelcome visitor graces their tranquil home, Mary must protect her daughter using her maternal instinct and feminine charm.
The film will include a graphic murder scene (adult cast only) and will be distributed online and in film festival circuits.

Mary
Mary is a modern single mother with a 1950s alter ego. She is an atypical femme-fatal character who uses her sexual charm and dainty housewife persona to seduce men into her old-fashioned home. The actress for Mary needs to be able to speak in a relaxed Queens English accent and also an emphasised 'posh' accent (slightly mimicking 1950s received pronunciation).

Richard
Richard is a regular, middle-aged Plumber and Electrician. He is a father to 8-year old Cassie who he brings with him to his weekend work. He has a kind face and a gentle demeanour although is physically well-built. Richard falls victim to Mary's methods of seduction which leads him to his gruesome demise at the climax of the film.

Cassie
Cassie is the daughter of controlling mother Mary. Growing up, Cassie has been subjected to Mary's tight reigns and odd parenting techniques that she is brainwashed to believing that it is all for her own good, as her mother has told her. She is naive and innocent. The actress of Cassie will need to eat jam and toast in one of the opening scenes, and talk to her mother and 7-year old Maggie throughout the film.

Maggie
Maggie is a sweet and joyful 7-year old girl, daughter to father Richard. She arrives at Mary's house with her father and is asked to play upstairs with young Cassie whilst her father works downstairs. Maggie starts off as a confident character, however as she is exposed to the strangeness of this family through a chat with Cassie, she retreats further into her shell and becomes more frightened as the film progresses.
