This will be a student graduate short film shot later this year, and we are currently looking to see potential actors/ collaborators to help drive the script.
Our characters come from migrant backgrounds (2nd generation Irish-Australian & post-war migrant Italian respectively), so we are seeking actors who are able to ground themselves with personal links to these cultures & experiences. If not this specific heritage, but you are still eager, please tell us your diverse family history and how it has shaped your life in Australia.
The owner of this listing has agreed to abide by local 'working with children' regulations. All minors must be accompanied by a parent or guardian.
Unpaid – this is a collaboration opportunity - This is a student film, so we would provide BTS and scenes for your show reel, and can try to cover your expenses where we can.
Collaborations should create mutual benefit and are usually amateur, student or 'Time for Print' projects.
POST WAR MIGRANT
One of our two leads, this character's migrant history in her youth shapes her current elderly life in Australia. She has a passion for the environment as it is how she has tried to reconcile and love this new country as her home, lost her baby to miscarriage and now lives alone. She is currently Italian, but if you have a better personal heritage story please share it with us.
