Mary-Ann Reid

Mary Ann is a deeply sad and angry character. She is someone who loves her family, even her cheating husband, and similar to him, is desperate to keep the idea of a typical middle class life. However, not matter how hard she tries to hide it, she is hurt, and that hurt manifests itself as coldness that pushes away anyone who does not understand her situation, even her own son. The character is blunt, and angry, yet that anger comes from a loving and empathetic place.

Right now, to him, his parents love him, life is for fun, and every new day brings a new adventure. It’s all simple. He admires his dad because his dad has always been a source of joy to him. And when his father abandons him for his affair, it is probably the first time ever he truly been hurt by someone.
