Primary production is due to take place on 14 and 15 September 2013. Submissions are due by 10 October 2013 although ideally we would aim to submit the project by 7 October 2013 at the latest, therefore leaving some 3 weeks for post-production.
Ideally, the candidate will be comfortable with all aspects of film editing including colour grading.
A screenplay and tentative equipment list is available upon request although it is worth mentioning from the outset that the film is likely to be shot on a Canon 5D Mark III linked up to a nanoflash and will also utilise a steadicam in some shots.
As a way of brief background to the film, it is a surreal predominately silent film which will explore the tensions of drug addiction and the resulting breakdown of a relationship as a result. It achieves this through flashback intercuts, minimalist sound and surreal fragmentation of time and space as well as shooting style. It is set against the backdrop of composed music.
All minors must be accompanied by a parent or guardian.
Unpaid – this is a collaboration opportunity
Collaborations should create mutual benefit and are usually amateur, student or 'Time for Print' projects.
Will need to demonstrate ability to colour grade during the editing process.
Applications closed 21 September 2013.
