Michael 1 is the protagonist of this short film. Lovably self-absorbed. He is insecure but finds protection in self-adoration. But this self-adoration is somewhat unjustified; Michael is just mediocre, even a little bit dorky. In this way, he is kind of endearing (rather than hateful) as a narcissist.

Michael 2 is nearly a carbon copy of Michael 1. Michael 2 physically looks similar to Michael 1 and mimics unintentionally Michael 1's actions in the short film.
