Lighting Technician & Production Designer Required for Micro-budget Short
Short film 'Cycle de vie' requires a talented lighting technician and production designer to help transform and bring life to the film set.
The film highlights the inner workings of an affluent, charismatic, indulgent man in his late thirties, as he propels himself toward a nervous breakdown, and subsequently rediscovers himself in the places he had always overlooked and taken for granted.
The film is to be 'silent' in that dialogue is replaced by voice over and emphasis is drawn to emotion and body language rather than dialogue.
We are aiming to be guided by the principle of 'elegance and simplicity'. Making the sets simple so that emphasis is placed on the lead actor.
Lighting technician with own equipment is desirable. I would rather pay a modest fee to you for bringing your equipment rather than hiring equipment at excessive price.
This is a no-budget film. I am paying for locations and hire fees where necessary but looking to achieve more for less where possible. I am looking for people who love to take creative control of their craft, as I am not interested in being a control freak or taking you for granted. As the lighting technician, you are the expert and will guide the outcome. As the production designer, I will trust your judgment. My emphasis is on the camera and capturing a compelling emotional performance.
We have two dates locked in at present but we may need you for one more half day. Many shots will be natural light and filmed in nature, so I will only require your help for the indoor scenes.
All minors must be accompanied by a parent or guardian.
This job is unpaid
