The Role: We're after a make up artist who is comfortable with taking on the responsibility of bringing the character of the missing son to life by fitting and blending a bald cap as well as attaching and blending a number of small prosthetic items to the actors head.
Our actor has reasonably long hair at the moment that he can't cut unfortunately, so our ideal applicants should be able to accommodate these restrictions.
If you're interested in creating a memorable and striking character and being a part of a reliable/fun crew, we'd love to hear from you.
The shoot will be in Kiama, near one of the beaches.
Audition / Rehearsal / Production dates1 Day shoot to be determined by MUA and Actor availability. Sometime before the end of May.
Unpaid – this is a collaboration opportunity
Collaborations should create mutual benefit and are usually amateur, student or 'Time for Print' projects.
Special Effects Make Up Artist
The character that we're trying to create is bald, with severe scarring around the scalp and the right eye with several mechanical components embedded in the skin. The prosthetic components will be provided by our production designer and we'll reimburse the successful applicant for the cost of the bald cap and most make up material costs.
Anyone, aged 18 and over
Applications closed 28 May 2017.
