Lynn Brooks is an EMMY nominated Anchor, Voice Talent, and Program Host in the Birmingham, AL television market. Lynn's work has been featured on CNN, BBC, and The Weather Channel.
Under Lynn’s leadership, WVUA has been named “Associated Press Most Outstanding News Operation” five times. Lynn has also received numerous individual honors , including EMMY nominations for the documentary, Faces of the Storm. Lynn was twice honored as “Associated Press Best News Reporte.r”
On April 27, 2011, Lynn shot video of a deadly EF-4 tornado, which came dangerously close to the WVUA studios. Her footage of the massive twister, along with her ongoing reports, were seen around the world on CNN. Lynn's coverage earned her the Associated Press award for “Best Spot News Story,” and her unscripted anchoring was recognized with a “Television Craftsperson” EMMY nomination from the National Academy of Television Arts & Sciences.
