I have been involved in acting since leaving school. I am originally from London where I was involved in all kinds of theatre especially physical theatre having studied dance and loved working on group devised pieces. I did classics like " The Three Sisters' and " Tis pity she's a whore" and Genet's The Maids and also more obscure and abstract plays. Since living in Australia I have done a lot of new writing. I performed the female monologue " Decoupage Skin', Women Men Nazis and Trucks The Seagull King and recently Australia Dot Com with The Communal Cats Theatre. I am not one to shy away from dramatic or risky theatre in fact my last play the character I played is very demanding and a great strong character. Here is what the reviewer said, ' This scene was simply astounding and the bravery of the actress, Rohana Hayes, should be applauded.
I currently work on a casual basis as a role player. In the Corporate field I work alongside CEO's and Managers where I interact and act as if interviewing them on their banking needs.
I am a very confident role player working from a script and as an improvisor.
I have no hesitation about going into a variety of workplace set ups as this is what I do with this job.
I also work as a Simulated patient role player for Doctors ( emergency, or student ) and in various hospitals.
Again this requires me to learn a script and scenario very quickly to prepare for the role.
