I have a strong, clear singing voice, developed through singing unamplified at outdoor events accompanied by loud accoustic instruments (I can still sing more gently too!).
I am one of the country's only lyre players (as seen on 'Marrying Mum & Dad', BBC 2012) and an experienced side-drum/marching-drum player using counter-rhythms to add texture.
I'm also competent on a range of stringed instruments, woodwind, brass and percussion.

Instruments:
Lyre (suitable for Ancient Greek, Roman, Anglo-Saxon, Viking and Early Medieval)
Medieval fanfare trumpet
Percussion - especially side drums
Renaissance cittern
Simple woodwind (whistles and recorder, reed-cap shawm etc)

Live performance on BBC Radio 3 ‘In Tune’ playing lyre (BBC, 2014).
Lyre player for Roman episode of ‘Marrying Mum and Dad’ (BBC, 2012).
Lyre and harmonic flute player for ‘Zig Zag Timelines’ (BBC, 1999).
Lyre player and Anglo-Saxon speaker for ‘Time Team’ (Channel 4, 1998).
Guest vocalist with medieval bands Gaita, Misericordia and Fleurs de Lys.
