Acting experience

Previous unpaid speaking roles

2009 - key character (playing myself) in Monster Quest episode "Isle of the Lost Tiger" about searching for the extinct Tasmanian tiger, shot on location in Tasmania. Introduced me to TV/film work and I love being in front of the camera.

Extras experience

Previous speaking roles

Modeling experience

Part-time model - paid commercial work

I'm predominantly on StarNow as a photographer. However I have done a couple modelling shoots as the model, so if I have the face you're looking for, get in touch. People regularly tell me that I have a familiar or memorable face and that they're sure they've seen me before.

2013 - Filmed interview-style TV commercial, also for print/web media, for a dating website. Not selected in final edit.
2013 - Featured in billboard / bus ad campaign.

I'm creative at heart, equally as happy in front of the camera as behind it.

Photography experience

Part-time professional (paid work)

Photography website

Have traditionally shot landscape/nature/wildlife for over 20 years. This has given me a strong eye for composition. More recently I have been working on portrait, fashion, underwater, nude, bodypaint and musician performance photography, currently semi-pro (both paid and trade shoots).

I've worked on music gigs with available light, fashion shoots and building models' portfolios. The compliments of which I am most proud are when the model says how comfortable they were working with me and that they love the photos I produce. Many have said they're quite unique and capture their essence well.

Left to my own creative devices I love exploring some themes regularly: really getting at the heart of the personality of the person in an image (and not just producing an aesthetically pleasing image of an attractive model; by the way, this is true of wildlife photography also), and exploring the boundary between recognition and abstraction. This last theme plays well to nude photography where the body may be represented as landscape, or portions of the body which are ambiguous to identify.

I'm enthusiastic to work with models to build and craft the kinds of images they are after for their portfolios and projects as well.

I also have a strong portfolio of iPhone photography.

My commercial work is shot with Nikon gear. I have a small home studio suitable to portraiture. I can bring studio flash and backgrounds on location and have managed shoots involvine a suspended camera, remote triggering and wifi transfer of data to laptop for checking before proceeding to the next shot. I have also taught workshops for learning the fundamentals of photography - see "Back To Basics - Learn Photography" in Sydney on Meetup.
